Default V6 S mpg

I know a lot of you don't care about gas mileage but I thought it might interest some of you that after 5 fill ups i'm getting between 22-25 mpg's. This is in a 2015 V6 S coupe with a mixture of city and highway driving. I hand calculated all the fill ups although I've noticed the mpg readout on the dash was consentingly reading 2 mpg's too high. Not bad at all though for a car of this caliber.

I haven't bothered to calculate it by hand, but for my 1900 mile road trip to Michigan and back this summer, I got around 27MPG each way (as reported by the car), with Dynamic off most of the time.

I'm averaging between 19 and 22 mpg for mixed (and spirited) driving with the MT.

For short in-town trips (e.g. my very short commute) I'm getting about 15-18 mpg. My last long trip (100 miles+ mixed highway and city with traffic) I averaged 24-25 mpg each way.

Thanks for the input guys. Seems like most of us are getting pretty decent gas mileage. I defiantly think on an interstate trip the V6 can knock down 27-28 mpg.

On country roads when very gentle on the throttle (or using the cruise control) the R easilly do 30+ mpg.

It is however easy to get that down to 11-13 mpg in the city combined with lots of "active" start and stops.

I have the V8R and not V6S, but I'm seeing roughly 20-22 mpg in a mix of 70/30 highway to city driving, and around 30 mpg on longer highway trips. On short trips when I'm driving more spiritedly (and in dynamic mode), I'm seeing more like 10-12 mpg.

So, yeah, you can definitely get 30+ on the highway in the R (with dynamic mode off and cruise on), so you should be able to do better in the V6.

not much city driving. A lot of backroads and interstates.

I generally average 28 miles/(Imp) Gallon. Motorways get 35.

I did manage 8 for an entire tank earlier this year, but that wasn't on public roads...

Finally calculated fuel economy for one tank. I got 22.2 MPG, the trip computer got 24.2 MPG. Same 2 MPG error as reported by Strippersteel.

My average over the life of the car (refueled once) is 18.8mpg. I topped 500 miles yesterday on a trip to the Santa Cruz Mountains and had a mix of fast cruising and idling in first gear with the beach traffic. I'll fill up this morning and see what my average over two tanks is.

I drive mostly in dynamic, mixed driving, I get almost 15mpg. Can't say I am very conservative however. 2200 miles so far.

I'm averaging 25mpg (Imp). A 100 mile motorway trip returned 34mpg at an average speed of 60mph.

As a matter of interest, what does the car say your average speed is?

Update, now with DOUBLE THE DATA!

Yeah, I've filled up twice now. 18.8 mpg and 19.6 mpg, averaging to 19.2.

I try to be good when I'm being good, and when I'm not being good I don't care. I've topped the 4500 rpm break-in recommendation maybe 3 or 4 times, but not by much. The little green light is useful when I'm cruising and could be in a higher gear. The engine is wonderfully smooth, especially considering it's a truncated V-8; a mutant that should have fewer balancing mechanisms and 30 degrees less angle in the V ...
