Default V6S Engine ticking noise = Faulty supercharger pump

So I took my car in for first year service. I told my service guy that I was hearing an odd ticking noise, me investigating this forum got convinced that everyones car ticks the way I was hearing it. So I told him that it is probably nothing, he suggested we check that noise anyways.

They did check it and turns out they need to replace the supercharger pump.. Being oddly paranoid turned out to be good!

I just passed 500 miles, I can hear weird clucks and ticking noises coming from under the hood. Updates us on what happens please. Good Luck!

The ticking noises may be the injectors.

Unhingd,

You mean this is just a typical sound?

Yep, the F-Type engines are all Direction Injection with very high fuel line pressure, so the fuel injectors are quite noisy and make a distinct ticking sound. A bit like the olde timey worn tappet/lifter noise but not as metallic sounding. (Sorry to cut your mustard there Lance!).
