V8 to be replaced by "high-performance versions of the new Ingenium straight six"
So now I'm really uncool : I see for pieces of chromed pipe.. ..what so special about these pieces of chrome over the standard 4 pieces of pipe..
More noise ?
More noise ?
Maybe it is because it is a replacement over the standard 2 pieces of pipe on the V6...?
Any chance you are of Dutch, like me, [ or Scottish] descend ...

Velocity AP Valvetronic exhaust.
Yes, there’s the danger of that appearance, but note that the S is still prominently in place.
Why did I change from a dual to a quad?: Because I could (and because Stuart was running a group buy on the V8 Valvetronic).
ok, you caught me: Dutch/German.

My guess is he really wanted a V8 but they don't have a manual box and that's his preference despite all the V8 owners trying, in vain, to convince him that the ZF 8HP70 eight speed auto is incredible.
That could be the reason very well... .. good thinking Watson !
I wouldn't want to have a manual in the FT. I have had plenty manual cars and it doesn't give anything extra, unless you drive down a mountainroad..

Fortunately with the mods (power and weight reduction), my car now has the power/weight ratio of the V8S. More is not really very beneficial on the roads through the hills and mountains. I love stirring the gears.
