Default VAP Tune and Other Mods

So I was finally home for a month and got some time to work on my car. I didn't get everything done, but will be home again before Christmas for quite a while and be able to finish some others. Thanks to recommendations, DIYs, dropboxes, and posts by some great folks on here, I chose a bunch of things and enjoyed getting some of them done while on my home-cation. Can't wait to get back and do the rest. Here's the things I did and what's left:

VAP Tune- Very easy and straightforward. I did have a slight issue where the installation tool would want to keep updating while plugged into my laptop with the application open. After that, it went smooth. Definitely the best bang for my buck and would recommend to anyone. Just the tune and I noticed the difference in low and mid-range power. Very streetable and until you put your foot down, can't even tell the difference.

Puddle Lights- Cheap and simple, but look really good. Probably won't last long, but at that price, who cares? I just got the plain Leaper with Jaguar written underneath.

Sequential Mirror Signals- Was a pain to get the first cover off, but once you know, you know. Easy after the initial pop of the first part. Looks really nice and I like that the lenses are smoked.

Koshi Carbon Fiber Interior- Had found a deal from a gentlemen in Canada and got most from him. One other piece I ordered directly from Koshi. They wanted a wire transfer, but I'm US and that's another $60, so I convinced them to take PayPal. Excellent quality, but won't match OEM carbon. Fortunately, I didn't have any from start. Window switch, seat controls, gauge bezels, steering wheel inner pieces, center console, grab handle, and vent covers. Used the thin 3M tape as seen on here, and fit perfectly.

I also used the Neutrogena Face Wipes to remove sticky button residue. Very, very tedious, but with patience and persistence, it works really well. Nice smooth finish as an end result without losing any of the button markings.

Waiting to be installed:
P7 Grill (whenever it comes in from Revolution) Hopefully before I return home
Mina Gallery Full Intake
Front Wheel Spats
R1 Concepts drilled/slotted Rotors
G2 Caliper paint, Firesand color matched
Existing Avante Wheels finished in black
Rear diffuser color matched Firesand (like the design pack, but I will leave side sills black) Thinking about doing the headrest hoops as well...
Light smoke on tail lights
Black out emblems

I previously installed the SmartTop Module and couldn't imagine not having it. If you have a vert, you need this in your life.

Thanks to everyone on here that makes this a welcoming and great resource for our cars. Cheers and hope all the US guys enjoyed their Thanksgiving.

Not sure if you have the problem, but may help to reset your battery to avoid the obd drain issue

No OBD II drain issue yet (knock on wood), but tracking on the battery reset if/when needed. I've only ever plugged in the VAP tool, and prior to that, an iCarSoft scan tool.

You've been busy!

+1 on the SmartTop module. That was the first mod that I did to my car. An added benefit (beyond controlling the top) is that you can configure the Jag's start/stop behavior.

I also blacked out the tail lights. I went full black. We checked it out first: the taillights work fine with them.

Can you provide details on the wheel spats?

You might consider adding a firesand 12-o'clock index stripe to the steering wheel. Not only does it look nice, but it provides precise indication of steering input. I posted here somewhere on how I did mine.

Keep it up. Let's see some picks.

Blacked-out tail lenses. (Plate is artifact from my last car. Replacement on order with PennDoT.)

I'll have to get some pics when I get back. But in the interim, here you go.

Edit* Looks like you may have to scroll down as it goes to page 2 for some reason.

Thanks Rock, admittedly much of the inspiration came from your posts.

Looking forward to seeing your ride when you've got everything done. Sounds like we've got very similar taste.... only difference is mine's completely black, I don't have the carbon fiber interior bits and I've got a set of factory wheels finished in black.

I've got a laundry list of things to do this holiday. Looking forward to this time off and to get some of these items checked off the list.
