Velocity AP valvetronic exhaust impressions/thoughts
Cheers, like most of the stuff I've done to my car (except the black wrap on the A and C pillars which I copied from the DB11) I got the idea for the exhaust from a forum member. One of the very helpful early members (I dont think I've seen him here for quite a while) had done it, and was great help in the process. Then a few years back a member in Korea (from memory) did it as well.
I thank you for sharing your experience... but I hate these threads
. I do not want to spend 4K for an exhaust if I can get the sound that I want with the Valve Exhaust flap control (RX1) made for Jaguar F-Type R (575 PS V8) for around 500.00
But getting black ceramic coated tips... that would be awesome.
I am not changing the exhaust, I am not changing the exhaust, I am not changing the exhaust!

I think I'm going to pull Fuse 15 during the summer months as I have with my three previous F-Types that resulted in zero issues. Only average around 300 miles a month which is accumulated via car events and errands around town so I think I'll be fine. Car is a garage queen from November through April and it only takes 5 minutes to remove and plug in the fuse.

Based on the info that’s out there I would definitely recommend you invest in an ASR valve controller, or equivalent, but it’s obviously up to you. You will be throwing codes too. Mine stopped doing that as soon as I stopped using the ClawsOut version of fuse 15 pulling.
The ASR is quite easy to install if you ever decide to go that route, and it is a really polished product that works perfectly. There is an install guide if you ever need it, but you probably already know about it.
Cheers man
Had it out this evening. My god, this is just perfect now. What a difference. All I want to do is drive it...Lol
Kid in a candy store right now feeling like I have a new car, but I’m sure the novelty will eventually wear off here ;-o
There is no doubt about it, things are on another level now.
I’ll wait until it’s fully broken in before I start throwing words around like “epic”, but we’re getting close ;-0
Honestly, for anyone who has the scenario where exhaust is very important to them, they don’t want to mess with tune/CAT/GPF changes, and they just don’t feel that their final face-lifted car is cutting it due to the sound-stifling aspects of the GPF, well, this is a likely solution for you. I can’t recommend this enough.
