Talking VelocityAP Full Dry Carbon Intake unboxing!

November of 2024, I placed this order. Since that time, I have spoken with @Stuart@VelocityAP many times (not sure how as an owner, he can spend so much time with his customers, but he manages to balance it all out).

Nevertheless, he shared with me all the trials and challenges with getting this product to market.

If you search on these forums, there is even a very old thread when they "considered" making an intake, but due to demand, other priorities, etc. It was not the right timing. There is even an older aluminum prototype picture out there somewhere that shows the work they were doing on this at that time (6+ years ago).

Finally they re-engineered it and started to work towards production. But rather than just pushing out junk, they went back a couple of times to fix some design elements to ensure the product would be made well and last. I was happy to wait for the product to be perfected, even though it has been 10 months since I first placed the order. I never lost faith..... TODAY it arrived and while not the first to have it, I cannot wait to get it installed (still recovering from elbow surgery, so it will have to wait a little bit longer). But in the meantime, here are some unboxing pictures of the final product!!! Great job team VAP. This this looks great and cannot wait to see and ("hear") it installed.

Looks nice. It will be great to get your impressions after install.

Is this the methanol/H2O injector port?

You can use that for a number of things, including that.

Thank you for posting the photos. That is exactly what I will be doing with mine as well.

What is the claimed benefit of this intake? I have a Mina Gallery and looks good and increase SC whine but not sure you gain any HP and some claim a loss.

It is not a simple answer. On a stock model car, you will have slightly higher SC whine with the benefit of the intake not causing extra heat soak due to the material it is made from compared to other products on the market. You can learn more in detail here:
