Default What happened to red caliper option?

For the past several weeks I've been building different FType packages on JaguarUSA.com. Until today, you could choose a red version of the standard calipers for $0. Now the only options are black and carbon. Building a V6S AWD, but it was available on the lower models as well.

I think the configurator has a number of odd problems here and there that vary from update to update. For example, on a base automatic, if you add the black packs you get the climate pack (no choice). If you add the premium/vision pack, you get both black packs (no choice). Buit none of that happens with a base manual where you can choose as you'd expect.

I guess the final arbiter is the actual order form and the dealer.

Looks like they fixed it: black, red, red super high perf, and ceramic now showing on the V6S AT. (still no ceramic for the MT as before)

Yes, but not on the V6S AWD. The only way I can find red calipers is by upgrading to the super high performance brakes under "optional features." Guess they just removed the basic red option as a money grab.

As someone may already have mentioned, the configurator isn't 100%. When you get ready to order, double check with your dealer.

The super brakes with red was included in the "old" performance package S. Now a separate option as that pack is gone, actually cheaper to get all of it now.

Apparently the red calipers are now a $450 option on the S AWD, and black are similarly an option on the R. This is what the salesman told me after I asked him to look into it. On the base and the S RWD you can choose either for $0. That is ridiculous.

Is the coating/paint of the same quality?
