Default Wheel Hop under hard acceleration

With my RWD S V8 I'm having bad wheel hop during hard acceleration? I know it really bad on the drive train.

Have any of you had this issue? If so, why is it happening and how did you fix it.

Thanks

What is the date code on your tires? Is the issue worse in cool weather?

The date code of both rear wheel PZero are 2617. So I would think the rubber is still good.

I only purchased the F-Type 5 months ago and not had to many opportunities to push it hard. However, the tires and car were warm as it had been driven more than 30 minutes before the occurrence.

Also, I've only experienced the wheel hop from a rolling acceleration of 15-20 MPH then it's pretty violent. But from a standstill, I've haven't had any wheel hop.

Thanks all!

How many miles on your car?

Could be the 'anti-tramp' bushes or any of the rear sus bushes being knackered. Get it up on a jack and start by pulling the bars/linkages about to see if anything moves too much.

Yup, time to get the car on a lift and have the suspension looked at.

There are 49800 miles on the F-Type. It drives really good otherwise with all the different driving modes.

I'll get it on jacks and take a look at the suspension and bushings.

Thanks all!

Wheel hop should not be happening. You have some bad mods or something broken in suspension setup.

Do you by any chance have oversized chromed wheels?

There are no mods with all stock suspension and wheels.

I'm going to change the wheels to a lighter forged set in the next couple of weeks though but keep the PZero's.

Can it be that your car was standing long time in the same position and catch flat on some places ?
This happend to me very often with cars that I just drove during the hot seasons. Now I take more care,
inflate to the maximum for winter rest and move position about some cm from time to time.
In general this kind of flats disappear after some driving time.

Most likely not as I have been driving on the weekends and driving daily for the last couple of weeks.

I encourage you to reconsider this, Michelin Pilot 4S is a much better tire.

I echo this recommendation - this would be money much better spent than on new wheels.

I third this lol, anytime Iv ever had wheel hop on any car it’s been because of older, warn, or dry tires. Mps4 are an excellent choice. In fact I just put them on my car and herd every pebble get picked up driving down my street lol. They are sticky!

I think F-type r RWD has traction problems due to high power, so when the first tires equipment become consumed, obviously you get a wow effect when you change tires brand, whatever brand you choose.
I am sure that if Michelin was the first equipment in F-type , the same wow effect would be for the P-Zero
