Jaguar stopped fitting the 2lbs of archaic machinery sometime in 2020, See --> No Symposer On 2021 F Type R

The engine sound is now supplanted electronically, although it would appear subtly via the vehicle speakers by the NGPTSQ See --> Next Generation Power Train Sound Quality (NGPTSQ)

Kind of what I was thinking. Got rid of the fake engine exhaust noise as well. It's the Gray wire on the input plug coming from the IAM that goes to the amplifier.

@Jag Bass Would you mind elaborating on exactly which gray wire to pull on which specific wiring harness going into the amplifier?

I have a US spec 2019 Jaguar F-Pace S with the 825W Meridian sound system. I went to look in my engine bay to do the symposer delete and I actually don't have a physical symposer to my surprise on my model year! My car does have the blanking plate on the back of the engine block where normally the output to the symposer system would come from. It's this LR025788 blanking plate: https://landstore.pl/zaslepka-kolekt...-bez-symposera

I am the second owner so I can't say 100% if my car came from the factory like this (likely) or it's possible but unlikely that the previous owner made this modification. Unfortunately I don't have a build sheet.

I do have the workshop manual for the 2016 - 2019 F-Pace and there are a few references to: NGPTSQ regarding DTC codes so it looks like this technology was technically available on my model year.

I'd like to disable NGPTSQ like you did but am not sure which wire / wiring harness pin to pull on my amplifier and can't seem to find a reference to it in the wiring diagrams in the workshop manual (or I just don't know how to properly read them).

Thanks!

If it is the same as the F type, look at the Digital Coax connection to the amplifier. There should be 2 other wires in addition to the coax on that plug going into the amplifier, one gray and a second color which I can't remember. Cut the gray and see if that works, can always reconnect after if not.

And, this will seem funny, I blanked out my symposer and "ug" liked the car more WITH the symposer. Go figure. It was too quiet for me without it.

Archaic or not - btw, I like the idea of "sound" being real and not by wire.....give me good old archaic sound waves in air every time.

You want rumble, add a supersprint exhaust system. You won't be disappointed.

Hi. I have a 2020 Jaguar XE P250 that also has this unfortunate NGPTSQ system. This sound annoys me terribly. Following your instructions, I reached the amplifier in the trunk, located the potential plug responsible for transmitting this sound, but in my case the color of the cables (apart from the coaxial) is white and orange-black. Do you think I should cut this white cable?

I can't tell if the NGPTSQ is operative on my 2022 P450 or not and I've tried to adjust the volume as one article I read said was possible with the console knob. The only thing I've found that changes the exhaust sounds is the removal of fuse 15.
And my dealership has not a clue about what I'm asking about when I ask about the NGPTSQ. Pitifully no one there has the curiosity or motivation to find out for me.

Does removing fuse no. 15 also disable any other systems? In my XE there is no possibility of any adjustment of this artificial sound, so I want to completely remove it and I am looking for any effective method to do this.

Removing Fuse 15 has no other effects as far as I've been able to discern after two years of running without it. I understand from other discussions on this forum that you must remove the fuse with the valves are open, which makes sense.

Don’t cut the wire. See if you can just remove the pin from the socket itself. Normally the is a small tab the you will have to press down on inside to release the end of the wire.

Unfortunately I couldn't pull out the pin so I had to cut the white cable. And finally there's silence! No artificial sounds in the cabin, just the real sound of the engine and exhaust
