Default Wind Deflector removal '17 F Type S Convertible

Can not figure out a way to clean the soft top rear interior glass. Have searched threads to little avail.

With the top down, remove the wind deflector (between the hoops.) Then put the roof up.

Even more fun is trying to vacuum the area back there.

The wind deflector is removed by pushing down on it and pushing the clips off the top at the same time, allowing it to slide up.

I've changed your thread title from windscreen to Wind Deflector.

Once you become a seasoned 'Vert owner, you can remove the wind screen with the top UP.

As the owners manual says, push down on the deflector's top support bar (within an inch or 25mmm of the side, so that you don't bend it). Then you can move the side support's clip towards you. Raise that bar an inch beyond the side support, then pull it towards the front of the car. The bottom will clear the side support eventually.
Replace in reverse order.

Don't worry about not knowing this... I had my 2017 convert for almost 3 years before I discovered this bit is removable. My brother and I took a 4,500 mile trip in it, really needing some extra storage space, but never figured out that removing this thing would give us the access to the well behind the seats. A couple of real dummies! Of course, you can't put the top down if you have stuff in the well, but hey, when you're going from point A to point B on the highways, it works well.

Thanks Dave....This Forum is soooo helpful. Perhaps several could meet in Vegas for a couple days of good runs thru the desert. Poker too!

I purchased a plexiglass deflector off Amazon for $75 US and am very happy. Much better visibility out the back. But you need to put a strip of 1/4” stick on weatherstrip (any hardware store) under it or it rattles at speed. Once done, perfect and looks great too!
