Default Windshield wiper spray not working

Anyone else have this issue? It was intermittant before, now it’s not working at all. I can’t hear a pump trying to run. No liquid but the wipers wipe.

I hate to spend another day driving back and forth to the dealer if it’s an easy fix I can do myself.

Check the obvious and easiest thing first - is your reservoir empty?

I filled it when I first had the intermittent issues and it was nearly full. Double checked it again and it was still nearly full. Unless it’s somehow not making it to the front tank, I don’t think lack of fluid is the problem.

Never had the problem, interested in the cause and solutions.

As you're aware there are two reservoirs, main at rear, supplementary at front and two pumps, one pumps from rear tank to front tank and presumably a second pump to deliver to wipers and headlight washers.

I think low fluid level should trigger a warning light

Front tank and pump are behind the front right wheel arch, IIRC. You might check to see if any fluid is making it to the headlights, might help isolate the issue.

Headlight occurs when headlights are on, and after every 4th operation of the windshield washers, but not more often than every 10 minutes.

You might want to also see if the washer ducts are plugged....it does happen!

My '16 FT-R is currently in service getting the 48k mile service, the windshield washer stopped working a few weeks ago. Pump died. getting it back tomorrow.

No warning lights have been triggered... it'd be interesting to see if the front reservoir is filled at all though.

Good thought! Is the reservoir visible without taking anything apart? From above or below the car?

The washer ducts on the wipers themselves? I don't think that's the issue since they both stopped working at the same time, but... could be worth checking out!

Well, good to know I'm not the only one at least. I'll probably have it up there for the 16k service mark so I'll have them check it out then.
