Default Advice needed

Hello, I have just bought a jag fx 2013 premium luxury. I have an issue with the driver door not locking when I use my key or the keyless locking, the alarm activates and all other doors lock. When locked from the inside it works and you can hear the central locking. Looking for advice as where to start, thank you

It could be the failsafe feature thinking you're locking the keys inside and therefore it thinks it's preventing you from locking yourself out.
do you have all the other keys and keyfobs out of the car when you're trying to lock the car from the outside?

Welcome to the forums Samdalo,

The door latch is an electromechanical device where cables link to the interior and exterior handles. This section from the XF Parts Catalogue looks very similar to my XK:

Item 12 operates the interior door handle. I suspect you may have an issue with either item 10 or item 11. The only way to find out is to remove the door card. If you need advice on this, the X250 model forum is the place to post the question.

I think that's the problem. I've changed door lock actuators on many cars.

You should first call the seller to see if he/she had the same problem. If so, I'd ask why they didn't tell you before buying the car and tell them they need to pay for the repair.

I'm referring to GGG's post. His advice is correct.
