Whoa, 5%, Whoo-pee-doo you say? Well, I am a frugal shopper, (how do you think I could save up the money for a Jag?) and it seems that Rock Auto has some of the best prices for Non-OEM parts. But they do stock some OEM parts at very good prices.
Here is how to find out.
1. Scrutinize your oem part for a part number.
2. In google search, type that part number with the word "rock"
3. Check results for rockauto.com.
By following this method, I found the genuine ford DCCV valve for $86.
Try it for yourself. The part number is 2R8Z18495AA.
I just did this. The second result was for a 2006 Lincoln LS 3.9L V8 blah-blah-blah at rockauto. Clicking on that link takes you to the rock auto catalog and there's MOTORCRAFT Part # YG378 More Info {#2R8Z18495AA} The part is $85.79
It might be that the part number on your part is off by a couple of digits, for example, your DCCV valve might have part number 2R8H18495AC. It seems that the fourth digit (Z, H) and the last digit (A, C) might be interchangeable. Meaning, they might be lot codes, date codes, or revision codes. You can check results from a google search of just the part number.
Shipping is reasonable at rock auto and they do ship fast.
Am I a shill for rock auto? No, just helping out those who might be feeling the pain of paying too much for parts.
