Default V-12 Manual Flywheel part number

Doing a conversion from 1986 XJS automatic to a manual 5 speed Transmission. Many flywheel wheels for sale on E-bay and other sources. Want to buy the correct flywheel. This would include aftermarket units. Building a Speedster/Race Car. Do not have a Jaguar vehicle. I starting with a 1986 V-12 engine. However, the Speedster will have a Jaguar theme.

Thanking you in advance

Hi there…I can’t help but wanted to suggest you put this question in the E-Type forum, or maybe XJ-S since several members there have put manual ‘boxes in their cars.

Thanks for the information. Just signed up for Jaguar forums last week. Hopefully I vested at this point and can do what you indicated. Thanks Speedster Finding a production part number for the v-12 flywheel has been quite a journey. Don't have it yet. Hopefully flywheel from another application will work.

I looked at E-Type suppliers in the UK (jagspares.co.uk, martinrobey.com) and saw a few part numbers, but nowhere did I see different flywhels for manual vs automatic cars.

Sounds like you have a cool project underway. I look forward to hearing of your progress, and maybe seeing some photos when appropriate. Welcome to the forum.

Thank you for the input to my question. I'm finding a few aftermarket suppliers for flywheels in U.S.A. Before I buy, I want to confirm the part number. After reading several forum discussions, the starter engagement to the flywheel teeth is an issue. Found there is a flywheel spacer used in some applications. Once I get a good flywheel I'll move on to a transmission selection. No doubt will be a GM or Ford 5 speed. Then comes the issue of mechanical clutch fork or hydraulic method or which there are two. Still in process of selecting a chassis. Attached is a photo of my 1927 Nash Speedster I completed a couple of years ago.

Now that is quite a car!
Thanks for the picture and I am pretty sure I have never seen one before either.
Any pictures of what you started with? A pile of parts?

Thanks much and what a pile of work to get where it's at now!
I sometimes deal in orphan makes and just getting parts can take months IF you can even find what your looking for.

Fidanza makes an aluminum one.

Holley makes both steel and aluminum options, I have their Aluminum one in my 86 manual swapped xjs.
