Octopus or CGPS first time setup? You can do the octopus with a $79.99 thinkdiag just use an obd splitter and rewire KWP2000 on the car to pin 7 on the scanner and you’re good to go.

Hi!
Octopus but might need CGPS later on . My TCU is giving me strange codes related to the manual upshift switches and I have tested the switches and the wiring to the TCU all works fine so I am thinking my TCU might need to be replaced or at least reset the adaptations etc. Can I do this only with WDS and if so what disc I need in order to do it ?
Thanks!

changing tcm is just run octopus and done. you don’t need wds for that

for cgps setup anything past cd11 will do it

It's on archive.org, about 2004 I think.

It's not a very exciting article...

New link: https://archive.org/download/jlr-cd43-wds-aka-worldwide-diagnostics-system-install-and-ready-to-bootimages

Installing from CD is true pita process.

There is option just to replace current HDD (ages old and slow) with new and fast Flash/SSD drive. Send private message for details.
