have you looked on the internet yet ? Obviously you can get one from a Jaguar main agent, but the price will be high. You also haven't told us if car is LH or RH drive.
Anyways, here is a UK site selling the rears, both sides.
https://www.berkshirejagcomponents.c...aa-c2x22297646
Not a huge amount of money.

Bobby,
A Location would help. As a moderator, I can see you are in Bolton, UK but other members can't view this information. Please add it to your profile.
Cost depends on whether you have the standard XKR brakes, Alcon brakes, red calipers or black calipers but as a guide the cost from JLR will be in excess of 450 UKP. As Fraser has suggested, Berkshire Jag Components is a good alternative for less eye-ewatering prices. Once you have identified the correct P/N, used ones are available from specialist Jaguar breakers and I've found several listed on ebay.
I've refurbished a lot of calipers in my time and rarely ever had to replace one. Is the problem with yours beyond a rebuild?

Fits: All XK8 XKR Models With Standard Suspension
1996 to 2005 Steel Bodied Models
Excluding Brembo or R Performance
So not sure if it’s compatible
Mine is a rIght hand drive XKr 5ltr supercharged
Thanks bobby
That is for the earlier steel bodied XKR (the 1996 - 2006 X100). You have the aluminium bodied XKR (2006 - 2014 X150). It will not fit yours.

Edit
I just checked and this doesn't fit the SC cars. Seems to me we're all better off not having these super-performance cars that one can only use a few hours a year round a track, as the costs of repair can get very large.

thanks bobby, also is it anti clockwise for the kerbside (cars right hand drive in uk )
The piston rotates clockwise to retract.

I’d like to ‘like’ the education @GGG but I don’t want someone to misinterpret my like for the actual message
.
So I’ve heard. Even the dealer I used to visit in the Boston area would be very helpful. Sadly, they are out of business.
The stories I have seen here about a dealer not being helpful, baffles me.
I do boil it down to the managed personal relationship. I do purposely make it my business to talk to not just the service writers but also the manager and the techs. And I never enter with a chip on my shoulder or an angry tone... as I often see others do. Perhaps supporting of the dealer, invokes a more helpful response?

Guy,
Agreed. I've used the same Jaguar Dealer for more than forty years and never had any problems with servicing or parts. However, the business model has changed drastically in that time. Gone are days days of putting new brushes in starter motors and the like. It's all about selling and servicing new or current models and knowledge of any more than ten years old is rare as the older techs retire. Repairs are usually limited to fitting new parts.
A frequent content in forum posts about never using a Dealer is, I suspect, primarily from those who have never bought new or used from a Jaguar Dealer and always go elsewhere for parts. When something goes really wrong and these members then have to go to a Dealer, they get upset when they aren't greeted with the red carpet treatment.
Yes - it's all about attitude and relationships.

[QUOTE=GGG;2348473]Interesting that Canadian Dealers will do this. In the UK, a Jaguar Dealer would deliberately price the job to discourage rebuild although independent specialists such as BCS Automotive will do it.

Graham thanks again Graham for your brilliant input I think this is just the solution I’ve sent my details over to get a quote I’ll keep you posted

Bobby,
Worry about the rebuild first. You can do the recalibration sequence once you have the parts ready to go back together. If you do remove the caliper and send it away for refurbishment, one other thing you need to source for the re-assembly is the copper crush washers for the flexi hose to caliper banjo connection. These are NOT re-useable. P/N C2C31805.

are the copper crush washers easy to find? I’ve sent my details off to the rebuild company so hopefully I’ll get a reply tomorrow, I just got a price of £260 for a replacement caliper which is half the price of jlr
