Default 4.2 with carbs, & no cats?
Does anyone know of any technical reasons that requires running cats on a carbureted 4.2? I have a non-cat exhaust system which I would like to install on my 77 xj6-c. I am not required to pass emissions.

I can't think of any reason not to, personally.
