Default Cannot post using IE 11 = Windows 8.1

I have to switch to Chrome to post on this Forum. Using IE 11, it says the message is "too short"....needs to be updated for use with current IE.

I assumed you would be fine with Win 8 and IE11 . I use Opera with these forums and works very well

I was forced to chnage to Chrome as well, since the URL popup window doesn't work in IE11 for me.

MIne just refuses to post, each time I try it says I must enter some text and deletes my message....most annoying...but as said here maybe only for IE11....as usual it is a Windows/IE "feature" something to do with the scripts I believe, although Microsoft are blaming the forums for not supporting it......so business as usual all thank God that Bill and his crew doidn't supply the software for Jaguar!

I have no problems with 8.1 and IE11. Maybe enable "compatibility mode" and add the site url to safe sites. If you just chose "recommended" settings when you launch IE for the first time it may be locked down too much.

Having a similar problem with Win7 and FF27.

Just lately it's been happening that the system logs me out when I hit 'submit reply' ... I have to try to remember to copy my text before posting, else it's lost. This happens erratically but often enough that it's a real nuisance. Just a data point.

Might be a javascript thing, though I keep my eye on those. Hmm.

It just happened again, with another long post which I forgot to copy before hitting "submit reply"... system logged me out and lost the text.
Giving up for now
