IB - is the banner at the top asking to verify email address legit? too many phishing scams going on these days - so leery of clicking something that suddenly shows up

Yes, the email prompt at the top is legitimate. Accounts that have an email address that hasn't been updated for 12 or more months will see the email verification banner. This is to help ensure members have the correct, and updated, email address on their account for email notifications as well as account access.

However, we have temporarily removed the banner as we found a glitch that the team needs some time to review and resolve.
