Default How to obtain a garage?

Is there a certain criteria one has to meet to obtain a garage? I am a new member and would like to fill it up some how.

You need 3 Days membership AND a minimum of 10 Posts to get full forum privileges unless Admin intervenes and grants you full rights earlier. Garage and Private Messaging are restricted during this period.

This restriction on new members is very effective in reducing spammers.

You're already past the 3 Days and only need 3 more Posts to make the minimum 10 at the time I'm posting this reply.

Planning permission also helps.

Hey, you might also find that we are into the building phases.

Gordo did a pretty decent job, and in Canada.

Gordo's garage.

You need to open up a forum on Bad Parts and their alternatives. A great candidate for it is the Antifreeze Reservoir Unit for the XJ6 (mine - 1993). It is a total failure (we went through 3 new units from Jaguar in a week before fabricating an aluminium-based alternative). All of them had the same problem - they heat up and split at the seam (poor design - and poor manufactured part)

Jag 93, that particular topic sounds like a good candidate for a FAQ-linked thread. If you start the thread and manage it correctly, more than likely it'll get classified as such.

1. click on Garage is empty, add now link next to your avatar

2. click on Add new vehicle link

3. fill in basic vehicle info in Step 1 dialogue box

4. go to Step 4 dialogue box and browse to locate your vehicle pic

5. add the pic then press Save changes button at the bottom of the screen

Great post Graham, I'm going to copy it into the Global 'How do you do stuff' thread by Jim.

Hey, if you mean a literal garage, my neighbor is renting one in an industial district. The shop is about 20x25 feet, no heat, but has power. He keeps all of the big equipment out of the house, and he does work on his cars there. For the sanity it keeps with the wife, I can only imagine how it's worth the rent to him.
