Jim,
It's the least we can do - and it can be a bit of fun too.

Thanks to the few members that step up fromt ime to time and take the time n trouble to welcome a newbie tor two, it is appreciated.

Anyone else that could make a post or two to welcome new members would be helpful, especially as there are lots of things on the boil right now at JF and the Mods are kept busy..

Thanks in advance........

+1 on Jim's comments.

If you have a few moments, step over to the New Member area.

We were all New at some point, and hey, you never know, it could be the chap/chapess right around the corner.

Saying Hi to the stranger in the room, can often lead to bigger and better things.

And we are the 'FRIENDLIEST' forum on the Internet, well all is said and done.

Just another reminder guys............The welcome wagon is once again left to the mod team and the newbies welcomes are suffering.

Anyone that can step in and pay the welcome that they received forward is appreciated.

This allows the mod team more time to deal with everything else and keep the forum running as smoothly as possible for all

Thanks

I know many regularly view the Intro section so there's plenty of interest in reading the posts.

Where you see a newbie with the same model as yours or in the same region, even just a simple 'hello and welcome' post helps them feel an immediate connection.

Thanks Graham.....

To be honest generally you, I and the rest of the team will pretty much do it anyway, but, if we know there are a few that step in and help out, it certainly takes the pressure off so we can deal with the 1001 other things that need attention.

Anyone that can step in and pay the welcome that they received forward is appreciated.

A late response I know, and I apologize. I had always tried to make it a point to welcome newbies, but I started a new job and my hours changed. When I do have time I can usually only get onto the forum with my cellphone and generally only check the XJS section.

I haven't abandoned the Jag forum, I'm just a limited edition now!

Hope all is well with you

Any of the old guard veteran members that see this, it would be appreciated if you could help to welcome a newbie here n there to make life a little easier on the mods.

I've also noticed the newbie intros getting much more informative when they can see we read and respond to them.

+ 1 Graham

As a newbie, on some other sites I have made an intro and looked at some others, more than most have either received only 1 perhaps 2 replies and some none whatsoever.

That must be really disheartening!

More than a few members here now take some time out to make an intro or two and some do it regularly. That topped up with the mods who always do their bit means its always a warm welcome here.
