Default "Thanks" Acknowledgements Have Not Disappeared Today....

For some reason the "Thanks" acknowledgements are not disappearing from my "Notifications" box today. There are three acknowledgements, I've read them all, but they are not disappearing after being read as usual. I would like them to do so. Any ideas?

Immediately after opening this thread, the three acknowledgements disappeared. Very strange. They were clearly there for several hours after I read them all multiple times....

In any case, thanks for your assistance....

Jon,

It's been the same with mine. They weren't clearing yesterday but have now done so as normal for the last few hours.

If you usually logout of the forum, you may also have noticed you were automatically logged out earlier today.

Yes Jon, more than a few weird issues with the forum right now for everyone I'm afraid.

Try logging out and back in again to clear your cache, it may help, although many of us are being logged out anyway for some unknown reason

IE seems to work better than Firefox for the moment so could be worth a try.

In a different variant, giving thanks by clicking the thumbs up thanks icon has not
worked for me for months.

Click thanks, page flickers and no thanks added to poster.

I look at like I look at my work these days, I do what I can with the tools and resources I am given to use. It used to be you were given what you needed to do a certain task, now it seems you are given what is cheapest and you have to do the task anyway.

Totally irrelevant to this situation but I thought I would bring it up anyway.

Not this week, we have an election going on here and we print all the junk mail for the LNP(liberals) as well as all the ballot papers for the electoral commission. So all hands on deck and as many hours as you can put in untill the campaign is over.
But any thing after my 36 hours(3 x 12hr) is double time. Maybe some goodies for the XJ6 coming soon.

I've not been able to see any 'private mesages' for a while. I have seen a couple of 'thanks' in posts, but not in the 'private messages' box.
I searched, but cannot find which thingy to click on to make it work.

Jay,

Go to user CP - Settings & Options - Edit Options - Messaging & Notification

Second option from the bottom is - Notification for new "Thanks" on your posts? click the box thingy and you should be good.
