I just clicked on one of the DYI 'PARTS DIAGRAM' link, showing it to be in pdf form and before I could click CANCEL, IT HAD ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Be careful guys. There may have been something I could have done FIRST and avoided the hassle, but, IT GOT ME!


I consider myself a little bit savvy with computers and that didn't save me!!!


Many large American companies are being hacked lately so, these evil SOB's are active and don't care where they plant their seeds of evil.


The link I clicked on was the first XK8 PARTS, File 1 by (hlgeorge)


I'm not saying hlgeorge is responsible, just it's the one that I clicked on.


NASTY VIRUS took over my computer and had to restart in Safe Mode and use System Restore. It worked.

Which site is this? Don't post up the link but can you tell us where?

I've followed the same link you used:

1. opens forum MediaFire download location with options to View or Download



2. selecting View opens the PDF



3. selecting Download gives no alerts on Bitdefender Total Security



4. scanning the downloaded PDF on my PC shows no issues
