Default Replacement pistons for front Mark X calipers

Looking for a source of replacement pistons for the front Dunlop calipers for a 1966 Mark X. Jaguar part number 10550 (vbo.9874).These were unique to the Mark X/420G/DS420. They are 2.25" x 1.21". No one in the world seems to have them. David Manners Group (England) seems to be the source for all distributors and they seem to have a problem supplying them. Pistons taken from a parts car are likely to be as pitted as mine. Any suggestions are very welcomed.

SNG Barratt have them listed but shown as "Special Order Goods". Maybe worth contacting them to find out. Not cheap at $62

I've spoken with SNG Barratt and they get them from David Manners Ltd who is unable to provide them at this time. Same is true for Norman Motors.

You might want to try contacting White Post Restorations as I am pretty sure they have run across this issue in the normal course of business:

Thanks S-Type Owner for the referral. White Post does not have the pistons but will machine them down to remove the pitting and then add a brass sleeve.

You might consider fitting more modern calipers. Not cheap, but much more "fit and forget" than the old types.

That sounds like a good solution, if you wish to keep the car more or less original. You will find that their work is faultless, IMHO.

Halray Engineering in Australia sleeve them in Stainless Steel, which cost about $65 each

You may want to try Hyedracyl, they make stainless calipers and piston set. The 2.25 calipers were put on the front of E-types for racing back in the 60's and the standard front calipers were put on the rear. This is the set-up I have on my e-type. They are not cheap but the caliper and pistons should last you a life time.

The website is old so click around and see what there.

I sent the calipers to White Post and they actually had a set of new pistons. They were rebuilt and when put back on the car work fine. Thanks for all the suggestions on getting this issue resolved.
