Pro: lots of knowledgeable potential bidders who will pay well for a solid car.
Con: lots of knowledgeable potential bidders who will ask lots of questions, and if you don't answer them, you probably won't sell the car.

The first thing I did was submit it to BAT. They wouldn't list it.
Said they were interested in "interesting, low mileage cars".
I wrote back to them pointing out that they had sold some nice XKR's. in the past.
Thing is the ones they sold all had less than 50,000 miles.
Didn't matter that I had full maintenance documentation showing all the work I had done to the car.

Huh, that's a bummer. I've seen some random stuff on there. I would've thought that and XKR would be a shoo-in.
Update: seems a bit hypocritical of them, given that there's an XKR with 104k on the clock for auction right now: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2005-jaguar-xkr-4/

Yeah, Huh!!! - I don't understand that. The only difference is it's a coupe. Mine is a convertible.
I thought I hit all the right buttons when I submitted mine.
Lots of pictures, maintenance history, CarFax, etc..
Guess it just depends on who reviews the submission.
I'll be watching to see how the bidding goes.

FWIW - The 2005 XKR did not sell. Bid to 11,250. These cars are just not appreciated for whatever reason. I don't get it.
