So glad it arrived safely! I didn't think you looked even slightly heavy!

    Sad about the WDS.

    All the best,

    Don

I got the Jag Journal Magazine the other day.
    THANK YOU very much!

My wife asked how come I looked 'overweight' in the pics because I am 5'8" and 135 lbs.(haha)

I talked to Richard Wright a few weeks ago and he said nobody uses the WDS anymore.(it just sits there)
It is in his shop in the corner covered up.

    Thanks again

    Thanks for the guidance, Don,

"I just checked my Air Suspension Summary and the ECATS solenoid coil impedance measured by some of our members is 5.4 ohms."

That is a "DC" coil resistance figure, if expressed in "Ohms".

The inductive value I'll be seeking to ascertain will be expressed in fractions of a "Henry". Probably high end of microHenrys, low end of milliHenrys at that.

As usual, I'm not wanting to damage the SCM, so will "sneak up on" a value for a permanent replacement.

Their appearance, then withdrawal from the market of "cheater" modules may have been due to strut vendors need of avoiding being blamed for ONboard module failures.

Rightly or not, the USA's insanely litigeous environment can destroy even the most honest of businesses.

More when I know more, but a minor edit to the existing summary 2017 onward, is all I see the need for on that item, if-even.

    Cheers,

    Bill

    Hi Don,
I have been busy again: I just added an important addition to my S-Type ATF full flush tread by adding another LONG comment at the bottom of the thread. Since I cannot edit the original thread on top, but wanting to make sure that this extra info is not getting lost...:

    Could you please open:
    https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...-264102/page4/
...and add below the fifth picture of the original thread (that is a picture of the valve-body), the following 2 sentences in bolt letters:

Please note that that little latch of that white "handle" needs to be pressed in before pulling the "handle", and note that at this point it is a very good idea to also swap the bridge seal and those 4 tube seals above the valve body, after removing the valve body briefly. See entry with details and pictures dated 27-Jan-2023.

    Thanks, Peter

    Hi Don,
not long ago I wrote you that I will use ATF Fuchs Titan 4400 for the Jatco JF506E in the X-Type.
If I remember correctly, you asked for an update, how that worked out...: Perfect:
The new ATF compared to the old ATF is a difference like night and day.
    Much better acceleration now.

    Hi Don,

... and on a related subject: I don't want to spill that news/info across the general forum: I wrote a 5 pages letter (/engineering report - as I am an engineer) to the Technical Service Manager at Nulon, and I will receive the refund amount, which I requested - on a goodwill basis.

    Cheers, Peter

Hi Don, could you please have a look at:
    https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...0/#post2591000

I started working on my X308 now and I just started that new thread trying to find an answer, if there is an acceptable alternative for ZF Lifeguard 5 (for the X308 transmission 5hp24).

    Cheers, Peter

    Hi Don,
Did you see the '06 SV8 on BaT?
Believe its similar to the one you may be looking for, if you can deal with the ext color. $7500 at present; 35K miles; and, an X356 (!!!)

    Hi Dave,

Thank you for asking! Members are allowed to post For Sale listings in the Marketplace only, not in the model forums. So in your case, you would not be permitted to link to your BAT listing in a post in the F-Type forum, but you can do so in a post in the appropriate Marketplace. See the advertising rules here:
