mill bellhousing to fit Toyota 5 speed box
jag meets toyota
I've started with milling the jaguar bellhousing to fit a Toyota w50 5 speed manual gearbox and it fits using Toyota clutch and pressure plate all I need is to turn up a bush for the back of the crank shaft.
That's an impressive mod ! If that Toyota transmission is any thing like the one in my Mazda B2200, then it will shift like a hot knife through butter. I had an old B2200 with over 800,000KM on it and the trans. never needed servicing _ I changed the oil when needed. I only stopped driving the truck because the frame rotted out.
Will the speedo cable fit on the Toyota trans from the jag and if is so will it be accurate ?

the gearbox came from a Toyota celica 18r 1978/1981, as for how accurate the speedo will be I don't know but Toyota have a big range of speedo gears so I see no trouble and I can get speedo cables made to order all to easy.
Oh, wait a minute, there are newer versions of that external vacuum booster with duel circuits, maybe that's the way you went ???
