Default 2 Door Daimler

I spotted a 2 door Daimler today in traffic which looked beautiful. I couldn't get a look at the rear to see what model it was but did see the front briefly, it looked a late 1960's XJ6 type but with shallower fluted grill. I wasn't able to get photo unfortunately. Any ideas anyone?

The XJ Coupé produced in both Jaguar and Daimler versions is considered a Series 2 XJ, in either 6 or 12 cylinders, produced from around 1975 to 1978 only.

The bodies rusted quickly and there is very little body parts supply.

Unless you can find a pristine and complete example, you will have lots of competition finding parts, other than the common shared parts of the engines, suspensions and other obvious non-exclusive parts.

if you want to learn about the XJ Coupé, go to the XJ Series 1, 2, and 3 XJ / Daimler forum in this site, where there are owners who own or are restoring these cars.

There weren't many Daimler versions made, and overall, only about 10500 cars in total, so a Daimler Coupe is quite a rare car nowadays.

fairly easy to fake a Daimler Coupé.

change the grille, plinth, and steering wheel horn push.

Had a quick look. That will be a fine car when it's finished. The XJ coupes are now fetching good money here in the UK.
