Default Any project updates?

I know there are a bunch of restorations in progress out there- any updates? Been pretty quiet this summer.

I will update shortly, been rather hectic rather than quiet, just not had the time to update much.

Cheers, I'll expand at length the whole story in the next day or so.I'm pretty much done with this car, I've had enough of chasing around after it.

Hello everyone,

Got my MK2 on the road for the first time last weekend (Warwick Castle event through JEC), following a ten year restoration. Still not totally finished of course - there's always something new to add to the everlasting list. For the record my car was originally a 2.4 (1967) but now sports a 4.2 XJ6 engine with twin HD8's. The interior consists of all-electric XJ40 Sport front seats (new magnolia leather piped in blue) together with re-trimmed centre console and door panels to match. I've upgraded the front brakes using Volvo 4-pot calipers (with reduced diameter 420 discs) and fitted MK2 front pistons to the rear to improve them as well. The 20 mile trip each way went well, other than the fuel guage sticking at 1/4 (had to reposition the sender unit, as it was catching on something in the tank). Found that the overdrive isn't working so I'm going through all the checks etc without much luck so far (need to remove the non-return valve but that requires a special Churchill tool - so I'll have to make one I suppose).
