Jaguar issued a tuning manual (E/112)
for 2.4L cars. Not sure if you have a 3.4 or 2.4 but the manual goes through 3 stages of tune. Standard BHP was 112@5750 RPM. Stage 1 was 119 BHP @5800 RPM. Stage 2 was 131@ 5900 and Stage 3 was 150 @6000. In none of these do they offer 9 to 1 pistons. Hope this helps.

Reason: additional info
CF has given the tuning info, which may well be what you want. However, the 'Special Equipment' option on the 2.4 consisted of a heater, tachometer, cigar lighter, back seat centre arm rest, screen washers, fog lamps, rear interior lights, enamel on the exhaust manifolds, leaper on the bonnet. I don't recall ever seeing a 2.4 without these.
I don't think the 3.4 came as 'Standard' or 'Special Equipment' versions, unlike the 2.4. In fact, the SE features on the 2.4 were all standard on the 3.4. Still, there were options and 9:1 (and 7:1) pistons were amongst them for the 3.4 engine.
Peter, it's even better than as described. I forgot to include in the text that I also fitted a Moss Motors Eaton supercharger! (FIXED!)
Whilst I do have a 3.9 banjo diff on the shelf I kept the original 4.55 unit because I used the Ford Type 9 gearbox from a European Sierra that had the optional low ratio 1st gear and I was interested in acceleration rather than long legs.
I swear to God when I get into 5th gear it feels just like a Jag!
Pre war, MG made delightful sporting saloons eg the VA etc. Post war we got the MGY & then the Magnette- hardly soul-stirring drives.
