Does anyone know the length and diameter of the throttle return springs - long and short? These are the springs that connect to brackets below the carbs. I think they should be 9" and 4", 1/2" diameter. I'm reassembling a basket case and do not have the rear spring and, need to confirm the front (short) spring.

I can measure them tomorrow for you, do you need part No's, you can get them from SNG and others.

Are you just trying to fathom what springs are what from a pile of bits or are you substituting springs from some other source, if so do you need the pulling force too ?

 

I have photos and part numbers of the springs. I've looked through my extra springs - they are not throttle return springs. I might be able to find them at one of the two Jag swap meets this weekend. There is also a spring manufacturer about 25 miles away, they always have what I need when I give them a sample or specifications. The pulling force would be good to know but, length and diameter is all I need.
