Default V8 250 in motion

My grandson made this video today. My 1968 Daimler V8 250. I just love the sound of that V8!

Agree. I've installed a new cable, removed and lubed it, removed the speedo and spun it with my drill, lubed the speedo and it still bounces. Time to send it off the the rebuilders.

Fantastic !! Takes me back a bit . Nice to see its RHD....Very rare now , even here in UK.

Just did a quick check...here in UK last count in 2013 250 V8...604 have car road tax & are street legal. 208 have SORN ( Statutory off road notification ) that is laid up , under restoration , or rusting quietly away in someones back yard /barn.

Great info. Thanks.

(I'll bet the numbers get much smaller if only dealing with 4 speed OD cars)

Hi Dick,

I know this thread is a few years old now but wanted to say a big thanks to you. I happened to see this clip late last year and loved it so much I went and bought myself a 1964 250 V8.
Currently reconditioning the engine and hoping to have it road going very soon. Love these cars and their engines!

Thanks again!
- Nick
