I think that I have the most beautiful edition of the XJS - but doesn't everybody. I have owned this beauty for over a year, 125000 miles on it. Had a few expensive pit stops but my car runs great. That is if I (and you, my jaquar peeps) can figure out how to get her engine starting. Quick bio- everything is fantastic, sun just came out in California -rain is leaving. Time to put the top down for the summer, and bam my security system locked me out of starting my car. Is this possible, my mechanic says yes, but he doesn't know what to do but tell me to find the key I lost a year ago! I'll repost this in my section (hopefully I find it) I just wanted to give you time to consider my predicament. The suns finally here and I can't drive my beautiful convertible.

Jackson! I bet you don't see too many Jags of Any sort up there!
Doubtless one of our XJS Gurus (we have a few on retainer, hahaha) will be able to help you get that engine going.

Welcome. The xj40 has an alarm switch inside the armrest. Not sure if xjs has same switch, but if it does maybe it got "switched?"
In response to your question "Are there any jaquars in Jackson,?" I am going to expand that area, slightly, all XJS' jaquars in amador county, California. As far as XJS' convertibles there are exactly TWO, a beautiful black convertible and mine. I happen to be friends with the other owner, from long before the jaguars were in Amador County
