As a busy medical student, I needed something reliable and economical to drive which is why I chose to daily my xj8. Haha. In all seriousness I love the car and was excited to get the chance to daily it. I'm the second owner and it has 85,000 miles on the odo. The previous owner bought it when he was in his early 80s and babied it. When he passed away he left it to my family, but the car ended up sitting for a couple of years. I've worked as a mechanic in the past and have been staying on top of maintenance. Not too many plans for the car other than mounting the asteroid rims I picked up and keeping it at 100%. I've been lurking around on this site for the last 6 months and I have to say you guys have already helped me a ton. This is a great resource for diy jag owners.
Thanks and I hope to contribute in the future.

Welcome to the forum 69merccougar,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums and to hear you have already found help.

After six months lurking, there will be no need for a link to the X308 tech section!
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.
