Default 2001 S-Type 3.0 rattling sound

Hello I am new to this, would really appreciate some help.
I have a 2001 S type Jaguar 3.0, for about the past two months I've had a rattling noise under the hood. Cold starts it rattles, also when I accelerate during 3 gear. Once I pick up speed the noise goes away or if I let off the gas.
I just got the timing belt, spark plugs, coils replaced, and as well as transmission rebuilt at 108,000 miles
car currently has 112,000 miles

Welcome.

The V6 has no timing belt, so I assume you mean the Serpentine belt.

The numerous idler pulleys can be noisy, and should be replaced at belt change time, most owners dont do so.

There are many other noise related issues with the V6, and the S Type section will have answers.

Welcome to the forum Ricky12345,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ed-v8-x200-15/ to the S-Type forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You should also add your Location details (City and State is sufficient). Jaguar specifications vary acroos different World Markets and this information helps to get relevant and accurate information.

Ah yes thanks for the correction
so I just brought the car to a shop and what do you know!
It was loose bolts on the exhaust causing the problem ( : saved myself some money as another shop told me it was the catalytic converter needing replacement !

Enjoy the lost cost solution to this one - it's not always like that with a Jaguar.
