Default 2001 x type sports v6

Hi All,
long time admirer of the Jaguar, now first time owner. I have recently had the good fortune to purchase my first second hand jaguar. It runs perfectly except for sometimes I will get an alarm whilst driving that says, NO POWER TO IGNITION, the car still runs however I have no AC or indicators. Dose anybody know if this is a common problem? Many thanks Steven from Australia

Welcome to the Forums.

BIG island Steven, which bit is yours?

1st port of call would be the battery, FULLY charged, is paramount for any modern car.

The X Type (X400) Tech Section will have more suggestions.

Good luck.

Welcome to the forums Steven,

Good to have you with us.

I know you've found your way to the X-Type forum and can see Thermo has already replied so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also use the Australia - New South Wales / ACT Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/a...-wales-act-93// to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Default Hi All, Sorry for long delay

Hi All,
New South Wales on the central Coast is where I hang my hat. I have changed the fuse and cleaned up the battery terminals, the battery has a green light which says it is good. Since the change I have had no issues with the electrical. But since reconnecting the battery the car is very sluggish, it starts fine and isles good it is when I put my foot on the accelerator to go it crawls and surges when I take my foot off accelerator it acts normal. Suggestions
