2001 XK8 convertible.
Hello everyone. Cindy and I (Chris) have just purchased a lovely 2001 silver XK8 convertible to replace our recently totaled crossfire convertible.
We enjoy adventures so we flew to Portland, Oregon then drove down to Medford to collect the car.
It was then time to drive back to Kansas City via Reno, where we rested. Next it was Vegas - Hoover Dam it was closed but they let us drive down and look. Then on to Flagstaff. The next day was a long drive taking in. Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and finally 23 hours later Missouri.
The drive was fabulous, smooth, comfortable, and pretty economical at 27.5 mpg.
It’s now time to introduce ‘Pippa’ ( Cindy wanted an English name for the XK8 ) to Monty our 7lb Maltese attack dog.
Then plan another road trip.
The folks at Jaguar knew what they were doing when the designed a single button for the top down!
