Default 2004 XJ8

I recently purchased a 2004 XJ8. It has been in storage for 7 years but has been started and driven periodically during that time. It is 'like new" inside and out and only has 29K miles . I had it looked at and while all the error codes probably caused by the battery being replaced at one point cleared no problem, the radio will not work. It says "contact dealer", is there a code I might need from the dealer by providig the VIN ? Everything else on the console works 100%, all displays, NAV etc etc. It's just the radio ? While I do love the sound of the engine I do like to listen to the radio from time to time too (lol)...any help ?

Hey here. Congratulation on scoring such iconic cat with such low miles. Similar to my '05 XJ8 L I recently purchased; stored for years, 68k & just begging to be driven. At any rate, if your car has the owners manual inside, the radio code will be listed on a small card inside.
