Default 73 Series 1 XJ6 restoration

Hi, I have just re-joined after a 15 year break.. I am living in the UK and restoring a silver grey series 1 with red interior that has been in my wifes family since new. The car hasn't been run for nearly 10 years and the last serious work was around 15 years ago!

The forum is a great reference.. a few photos of the car, when nearly new and during restoration..

Welcome (back) to the forums Paul,

I had a 1972 XJ6 in the same colour combination but it had succumbed to the elements before the end of the decade!

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...s-i-ii-iii-16/ to the XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also use the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
