Default C from Amsterdam | Jaguar XJ6 3 Series 1980

Hi All,

So nice to be officially part of this Forum. Since yesterday i'm the proud owner of a Jaguar XJ6 3 Series 1980.
I'm new to this brand, 8 years ago I drove 2 XJ6 1991's and that was nice. For now, I found this car at: www.marktplaats.nl an local (ebay).

This Jaguar was for sale as a 'driving project'. Its been rented out for weddings and the company had to cut vehicles as they had to move from garage. (14 till 8 cars) and the jaguar could leave!
Yesterday it was a perfect evening in Holland - Amsterdam:

The car drove very nice. Its having some issues as the seller told me:
- No Airco
- No left fuel tank (Dismounted)
- Blower on of work around
- Radio doesn't turn on
- Clicking feeling when turning the steering wheel
- Rough Idle -> Injector maybe?? (stoot still most of the time).

It has it 2 yearly (Dutch rules) check and it still has 14 months of APK (= Dutch Check).

I look foward to learn more about electrics and fix small things myself.
Note: I know that theres an 2 SERIES front, don't ask me why! but it is like this haha!

Kind Regards,
Cyriel

Welcome to the forum Cyriel,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

That looks good. All the other white ones I've seen have had unwelcome signs on the doors and lights on the roof!

Hello, Cyriel,
What a Beautiful example of a Series 3!! What wonderfully clean lines they've given it.
I absolutely Love that bumper treatment, especially the wrap-around rear!

I'll look for you over in our Xj6 section where Graham has directed you.
Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

This is the standard bumper on a European specification XJ6 Series 3.

Yours appears to be an XJ6 Series 2 bumper with the over riders fitted upside down.

HI All,

My housemate with his VW GOLF 4 R32 supercharged made a nice movie. We put the OSMO (camera with built in stabilizer) on the back of his car. This is the first drive after we bought it:

I've copied your YouTube video to XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III forum.
