Default Adding coolant

Need Help with coolant.
Coolant fan not coming on when coolant temp indicator is nearly in the red.
But, the strange thing is, the hoses are not hot to the touch.
Humm... Strange
Is this normal for Jaguar.
I'm new to Jaguars just bought a 2002 S type 2 days ago.
I thought the coolant will flow once the thermostat opened up.
Added coolant because I had to replace the radiator.
I've worked on plenty of cars but this cars coolant system seem quite complicated.
are there bleeders I need to know about with this vehicle.
Need advise
Thanks

Temp indicator in the Red isn't normal for Any car!
Someone will be along soon to direct you to the correct section where you can get help specifically for your S-type.

Welcome to the forum Flypaul,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Sounds like it could be a sticking thermostat or failed water pump.

Follow this link S-Type / S type R Supercharged V8 - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the S-Type forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.
