Default Advice on my Jag purchase

Hi All, just a little bit about me.... I currently own a BMW 335i coupe and after 6 years of fun with the car I'm ready to move on to the next. I considered many brands and cars but i keep coming back to 2 (both of which are Jags) and was hoping you could give me your thoughts.

2013 XK-RS OR 2015 F-Type S AWD

I live in toronto and this car will be also driven in winter time, I drove my 400whp rear wheel drive BMW through 5 winters so far so i've got some experience handing a bit of power in slippery conditions. But should i be weary of the XKRS for winter and rain?

Spool it up with a set of blizzaks and your good to go. I have a set on my xkr and they are phenomenal in snow. They have to be changed back in the spring as they are not recommended above 45 degrees.

1 of 19 has given you the answer for snow, but for data on each car you can probably ask in each section. Someone will be along shortly to direct you to them.

Welcome.

Decissions, decissions, no help from down here, we no got snow etc.

I like the raw/classic look of the XK, but also the new look of the F.

Welcome to the forum abhishriv,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Follow this link XJ XJ8 / XJR ( X308 ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XK/XKR forum and this one F-Type ( X152 ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the F-Type forum for help, advice and information.
I suspect members will each recommend their own model as the best choice!

I recently considered changing to an F-Type. The only thing that put me off was lack of carrying space. The XK is a practical GT whereas the F-Type is a sports car.

You can also visit the Canada Region forum by following this link Canada - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Any European car is better in the snow than any US Domestic brand not 4X4. I have driven many US cars and the last 20 yrs. have driven nothing but European cars. My 2 MINIs even not 4X4 go well in our snow. I had a 67 Chevy C10, 86 Ford van w/posi and the last was a 07 Ford 150 4X4 did OK. Mustang no, Mercury Marquis was so so. But my Jags and Rovers along with the MINIs are excellent.
