Cool Airtracker XJR

I am not new to Jaguars, but new to the forum, as in my long past life I restored 2 XK120's, a 69XKE, a 54 Mark IV, a Mark VII, and a 3.8 salon. My wife, who is a cat lover, saw the 98 XJR on a used car lot and said " I want that for my last car". My handle comes from being a radar test engineer on the AWACS..

Welcome to the forum airtracker,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you have already found your way to the X308 tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the USA Northwest Region forum by following this link USA Northwest - Washington/Oregon/Idaho & SW Canadians - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Found the problem to be the drive cable. It had pulled out of the gear box. after reinserting it I moved the tie wrap holding it to tke the stress off of it, so it should stay for a while.
