Hi, I'm Richard, aka Rich (in name but not in finance ). I have recently acquired my first Jaguar, a '15 XF Sportsbrake Portfolio, 47k on the clock, in Italian Racing Red.
I'm still learning about the settings and "what happens when I press this" etc, but thanks to the pandemic, working from home at the moment means less lime on the road to enjoy.

I have found that the nearside wing mirror doesn't work on the switch - electrics are working but the cogs sound as though they are not engaging. Something I'm hoping to find a solution for on here somewhere.... I've tried manually closing and re-opening to max but no joy, in fact seemed to make matter worse! Hey Ho, I'll will dig deeper.

We have covered 600 miles or so already with a trip to see daughter at her new Uni digs, thoroughly enjoyed that experience though.

I look forward to interacting with you.

Welcome to the Forums.

The members in the XF (X260) Tech Section will have answers for that mirror.

Good luck.

Welcome to the forums Rich,

If you can hear the motor operate then it's likely just to be the mirror housing come off the motor drive peg in the black base which can happen when someone gives the mirror a thump. With the mirrors in the driving position try rotating the mirror head beyond the normal limit in both directions. if it is displaced from the drive peg, this should pop it back in.
