Whats up guys. Joining the forums to get some past technical analysis since jaguar themselves won't work on this beauty. Right now I'm trying to smite the P1601 code on this 99 XJR. tried a Chinese version of SDD and tried bootlegging a version of 118.5 of IDS. Unfortunately I think the Chinese reader i bought isn't a good enough copy. Took it to a specialist and they started talking about the Jgate. Now, I've heard these go bad, but the car itself is damn near in perfect condition. 103k miles but HOLY. I'm uninterested in selling this thing, but this code is fighting me like a bear. Anyone else have this issue? I've cleaned all grounds. Thinking of doing an ECU reset, although, the P1601 is a TCM to ECU fault, not necessarily an ECU failure.
