Bought first Jag today: an S-Type R!
I have been a long time Mercedes owner, and was a moderator on a Mercedes board for a long time but today I thought I would try something new and picked up an S-Type R with 50k miles. Looking forward to doing research here on my car (like how to align headlights!) and offering up anything I may learn after I get to know these cars.
Hello and welcome to the JaguarForums Under Preasure! Glad that you have seen the light and jumped ship
!
You will find that this forum is unlike any that you visited or moderated in the past.
What year, color combo STR did you land?
There is a wealth of knowledge in the S Type / STR section especially in the FAQ Thread. For one on how to fix (align) your headlights (cheaply)!!! https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ype-faq-10745/
Watch out for the fellow STR guys, they will have you modding in no time!
Again welcome aboard and enjoy the site!

I just read that great headlight write-up, I just have to find time before I have to do night driving to try it out. I have modded so many cars, including a Mercedes that I had a Mosselman turbo conversion done to. I am going to try to keep the S-Type R stock though (we will see how long that lasts, I said that about my old CLK430 that eventually was modded up).
Welcome to the forum. I could say be careful with the STR guys, they will soon have you wanting to spend some hard earned.
Lots happening in the S Type section, but also drop into other areas, you'll find some very interesting and friendly discussions.

Welcome to the forum,
Those R guys will have you thinking about intakes and pulleys before you know where you are.
