Bought my first Jag
Hi every one. I am both new to Jaguar's and to the world of forums.
I recently purchased my first Jag, a 2004, black, XJ8. I had been driving a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee and cracked the 200,000 mile mark. So when it came time to think about replacing it I started looking for what was in my price range. On a whim I looked at Jaguar's never thinking I would see one in my budget. Granted i didn't see a lot of them but the idea of having one got me digging deeper and deeper. My area (northwest Ohio) is not a very popular location for Jaguar's. I got the chance to sit in one and immediately know that this is what I wanted. I also tried a 2003 and realized that the things i read about how much smaller they are was very true. I knew i needed an 04 or newer. The car has 107,000 miles on it and it runs and drives like no other car i have ever had.
So happy with my choice. It puts a smile on my face just looking out the windshield over that long black hood seeing the shiny chrome "bonnet leaper" out there eating up the pavement.
I will post a picture if I figure out how to!
Please bear with me as I am new to forums.

Hi 04JagXJ8:
Glad to have you with us and to hear how much enjoyment the car has already brought to you! Greetings also from the Midwest Region. Like you, not a lot of Jags in my neck of the woods. That makes it all the more special. Enjoy the forum and the support and friendship you find here.
Cheers,
Scott
