Echoing Caddy..I'd go for the 4.2L if you can find one.

Hi there km n welcome to the site.
Sorry, being an Ex X type owner I can't really comment too much about the S. Why not visit the S type section and start a thread there? Put as much info about the car as you can and ask any specific questions that you may have. I'm sure some of the more experienced S typers will be happy to answer them for you.

Good luck

Jim

I've never owned a Jaguar and am thinking of buying a 2006 S Type. I've done abit of research on line about maintenance and reliability issues with this particular model, but haven't been able to find much information. The car has 38,000 miles on it andis being listed for$23K. Does this model and year have any known machanical problems? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
I have a 2004 S-Type 4.2 and I love mine. Haven't had any problems with it- she's a great car! And she MOVES!!!

Ronaldo why don't you donate yourself to charity?
06 S Type would be a good choice

I say that's quite a deal.....when I bought mine in 03 it was 66,000 and I have the Fully loaded S-Type 4.2. Its fast, reliable, gets 30-35mpg highway and 25-30 in town. Great car
