Default Can I use inbuilt Microphones for Sony Bluetooth

I have fitted a secondhand Sony WX-920 BT into my 2001 X type 3 litre Sport and when my I Phone receives a call it plays through the stereo but the microphones from the old analogue system are not connected so I cannot reply , the plug set I bought to connect it doesn't include a connector to the steering column controls and the stereo is supposed to have a separate tiny mic which plugs in the back , I was wondering if anyone has looked into this and knows the car cables that attach to the microphones and their colour codes so I can make a simple cable to connect small jack plug into Sony instead of using a separate mic ?

Welcome to the Forums.

I reckon the members in teh "Audio/Visual" section, down near the bottom of the home page will have those answers.

Good luck.

Welcome to the forums Mike,

As Grant suggests, members following our Audio/Visual Electronics (https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/a...lectronics-23/) forum should have the answer.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x-type-x400-14/ to the X-Type forum for help, advice and information. Thanks for the hints , I will be checking out the Sony microphone slot for the simple solution but have noticed some interface cables for my X type and ISO std wiring for the Sony and other makes which allows the steering wheel phone buttons to be used so that is another option. Replacing the fuse for the cig lighter socket that blew I realised that my fuse box for the 2001 3 litre X type is totally different to the one shown in my Haynes manual luckily the drivers hand book pointed me to the correct fuse under the Glove box .
Oh and my previous Jag was a 1999 3 Litre S type.
Many thanks.
