Default Coolant leak and cylinder misfire.

Ok so i had multiple cylinder misfires. Replaced upper and lower intake manifold gaskets. Problem solved for several months. Had a coolant leak from thermostat and then water outlet housing or so i thought.by the way this is an 03 xtype 2.5. Replaced both thermostat and housing with brand new parts. (Not leaking). Then realized water pump leaking. Going to replace this weekend. Now showing cylinder 5 misfire again. Could this be fluid on the spark plug cousing this??? If so how do i fix? Running like crap ever since i noticed water pump leaking. Any help would be great!!

Welcome

The X Type Tech Section will know the answers.

Most common is oil in the spark plug wells from the cam cover gasket/s.

Good luck.

Welcome to the forum Kyle,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the X-Type forum with this issue so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Northeast Region forum by following this link

Enjoy the forums.
